You've been blinded by god's grace for far too long
Always forced to repent while you're doing wrong
Slavery as your birthright, there's no way out
Sick of getting along with the human kind
Strange devices they use to control your mind
Trying to tell you what life should be all about
You were all out of hope, afraid to take the fall
You must gather the courage to end it all
Got a feeling that things just aren't what they seem
You've got nothing to fear
It has been all the same since the world was young
You are left with no choice but to play along
Tranquilized by the lies passing through your mind
Faint reminders of feelings from years that passed
New distractions are useless, they never last
Now you know that you always have been this blind
You were all out of hope, afraid to take the fall
You must gather the courage to end it all
Got a feeling that things just aren't what they seem
You've got nothing to fear

I'm sad to see this era of Beastmaker close out but this is a phenomenal way to do! Black Butterfly might be the best thing they've ever done. dianonhead

Utterly hypnotic, heavy, and ethereal beyond what I can aptly describe here. It'll take you careening down a kaleidoscopic wormhole of audial bliss. cynothoglys

This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario
A stoner-rock opera with dystopian themes, the Italian band's third LP fuses apocalyptic fury with psychedelic splendor. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 29, 2023
